How many seats are at the GIANT Center in Hershey PA? ›

Did you know? The GIANT Center is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania and home to the Hershey Bears® ice hockey club. Hershey Bears have held the AHL record for attendance since 2006.

To ensure the safety of our guests, glass bottles, cans, hard-sided coolers, thermoses and open containers may not be brought into the venue. Exceptions: baby bottles. Guests may not store their bags or prohibited items at Giant Center.

If this is your first visit to Hersheypark, I would recommend 2-3 days, especially if you want to spend any time doing the Hershey corporate attractions (Chocolate World, trolley tours of the town, and others).

Built in 2002 as a replacement for the historic Hersheypark Arena, which was aging rapidly and did not have a large enough capacity for events, the GIANT Center is the largest arena in South Central Pennsylvania. The GIANT Center is owned by The Township of Derry.

The 688 Club Seats at GIANT Center provide the best views of the action in Sections 106, 107, and 108 plus first-class amenities in the Stella Premium Lounge.

For all the events at the Giant Center you have to pay their outrageous parking fees! I no longer want to attend concerts and shows there, just for that fact. $12 to park.

Hersheypark Stadium is a cashless venue, so all major debit and credit cards will be accepted. If you forget your card, don't worry - for no additional fee, you can convert cash to a prepaid debit card at two Cash-to-Card kiosks, located under the East and West grandstands.

Small bag or backpack

With all the walking and riding you will do, consider carrying a small bag or backpack to hold your phone, keys, wallet, etc. All guests and bags go through our Evolv security system at the entrance to the Park.

There are limited designated smoking areas around the property where guests may enjoy a cigarette. The property's smoking policy also includes e-cigarettes. Please refrain from using e-cigarette products in all smoke-free areas.

Crowd Calendar Notes

Good Friday and Easter Weekend tend be more crowded. Weekdays (Monday-Friday) are historically least crowded during the summer season in June, July, and August. Weekends attract more tourists and vacationers. Fridays and Sundays tend to be least crowded during the Halloween season.

When to go to Hersheypark. If you can, avoid going to the park on Fridays and Saturdays, which are typically the busiest days of the week. I like to go on Sunday afternoons and Mondays.

When is the best time to visit Hersheypark? If you're hoping for a less crowded experience, the best time of year to visit Hersheypark is weekends in May and the month of June. Saturdays are almost always busy, so try for a week day, Monday through Thursday.
